"Eyes are the windows to the soul" is a quote that has particular meaning in Sherrie's work. Though she has worked with oil her chosen medium is black & white pencil. With blending sticks and a variety of erasers she can bring a photograph to even a deeper hue of life. On paper of the finest quality the photograph becomes larger and more pronounced as, virtually any dimensions can be used. Her subjects are as varied as the expressions on their faces, expressions of hopeful joy, determined sadness, stoic wisdom, or unabashed pride.
